Theres about 8 people that i know of from DFW who belong to the shroomery. And a lot more surrounding. Hunting for shrooms is much more common in the country though... so... i dont know, maybe thats why

I grew up in a midwestern state in a relatively small town ~ 75,000. I love the term, "Chicagoland," too, btw. It reminds me of local commercials for carpet emporiums. That, and "The Tri-State area." That's killer.

I come from the 'dc metro area' which includes northern virginia, washington dc and a chunk of maryland. I prefer to stay away from the city, and the endless suburb/shopping strip extravaganza around it.. greenery is best. trees are my friend, and concrete jungles suck ass.

The concrete jungle has a certain romanticism about it. It's exciting... I miss the chaos of Toronto a lot sometimes. It nice to always have the option of dissapearing into the throngs of people and culture, where in a smaller town you just can't do that.

I live in a small town, go into the city when needed but end up going there only to sit around inside because all the shit there costs money or we are unmotivated.

werd to you both. i grew up in omaha and des moines, have lived near chicago, visited multiple big cities for extended periods of time, so i don't consider myself naive about that culture. i do enjoy the diversity and perpetual motion of a big city, but the forest is where my heart belongs, and i wouldn't leave it for anything except maybe an exotic secluded beach far from civilization. since that will probably never happen though unless i become a rich rock star, i'll be content with my little hippie-heaven in the mountains. kind people, beautiful scenery, and much needed solitude if i had to live in a city, i'd go to seattle for sure though. i love it there.

I grew up outside of New york City, spent my childhood in the country-side of the poconos, and since 14 preferred living in the city areas. Pittsburgh was fun.
