MusicMatch Jukebox
WinAmp
I-Tunes

Do they all do pretty much the same thing?

I've never used I-tunes but I have used MusicMatch and Winamp. I'd say Winamp would probably be the best out of those 3 because it is widely supported. It has many plug-ins available and of course you need it to listen to the shroomery radio (although I hear I-tunes works as well). The program I like best however is Foobar 2000 because it plays and does just about anything. All links to radio stations that work with winamp will work with Foobar and Foobar also plays wma files and just about any other file type, not to mention it is simple and easy to use.

I'm pretty partial to I-tunes, I think....still getting to know it, but it seems to have more capabilities then winamp...

I hate MusicMatch Jukebox. It takes a longass time to load. You should get Winamp, then download Milkdrop.

I think iTunes is greatest. That is, if you've ID3 tagged everything.

Easy to make seperate playlists outside your normal 'library'. You don't really need to drag and drop folders of mp3's of a list you want to listen to, because they're all already listed in iTunes.
Search or arrange by artist, title, album name, rating, genre, year...etc etc.

Winamp is cool, and has a ton of plug-ins, but iTunes is just more of a complete library player and cataloger, as opposed to a per-file player like Winamp. IMO

ha, I meticulously removed every id3 tag in my collection because they piss me off. I don't like using products with trendy names anyway..

sorry man, but that doesn't make any sense.

Why would ID3 tags piss you off?
And what is trendy to you, iTunes? strange reasoning...

yup, I also love and use foobar
www.foobar2000.org

it's powerful
very customizable
and loads incredibly fast - almost instantly.
low resource useage

it is the anti-winamp.

I think windows media player, real player xx, musicmatch, and itunes blow. winamp is good in my book, but not as good as foobar.
