Can a kind soul help me ID my mushies
    #3568770 - 01/01/05 06:30 PM (19 years, 1 month ago)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!  i found these in a old growth oak forest in the coastal range in oregon. there were 3 patches about 1-2 feet from each other. the mushies in the lower right hand of the photo seem be look differently then the others, but i think they are all the same species. The mature mushies are thin stalked sharply conical 4-6 inch tall. they are brown to dark tan and they have not bruised blue yet, only has been hours. They have grey gills. Please help me id, i have an idea but i need to hear it from a few people THANX :mushroom2:

Those are not active.

You need to take a spore print if you want to know what they are. My guess is that you have found a common species of the genus Mycena. If this is correct, the spore print will be white. Do not eat them, they may be poisonous.

I'm with shroomydan on these. They look like Mycenas. None of them are worth eating, and some of them contain muscarine. Do not eat.

Happy mushrooming!
