no, it just means that the skin is weak or it got scratched alot. i am pretty sure that the chemical psilocybin (the magic) turns blue when it meets with oxygen. that means that the only reason they turned blue was becuase oxygen got inside the skin somehow. thats all

just because you stick feathers up youre butt does not make you a chicken.

the blueing you speak of is a result of psilocybin (or maybe psilocin? can't remember which... prob both... not important anyways :smile: reacting with air... so while a deep blue MAY mean your mushrooms are potent it is more likely an indication of poor drying methods. blueing is good in that at least you know your mushrooms contain these chemicals (unless they are a bolete sp) but bruising and such will make them go blue anyway, meaning a lot of goodies are lost...
