This guy was a class act. Would his attitude be classified liberatrian nowadays? Long but interresting

A cool guy and a good guitar player. Definately a person whose opinions were worth listening to.

Zappa,"I am a conservative. You may not like that but I am." People have tremendous misconceptions about Frank and he was absolutely what I consider to be a Libertarian

Which just goes to show that terms like conservaitve and liberal are almost meaningless anymore. You say "conservative" today and most people think of someone like Reagan. But if you watch the video, you'll see that's not what Frank's talkin bout. When he says conservative he's talking about personal accountability and rejecting statism. Too bad our generation thinks "conservative" means a state building christian fundamentalist war hawk

Damn, Novak was as big a douche bag back then as he is now.

The looks on Zappas face are priceless.
John Lofton from the Washington Times telling Frank Zappa he needs to get out more. Priceless.
"Kiss my ass. How do you like that."
"Why should I smile when I'm sitting here next to you."
Frank Zappa wiped the floor with that guy. Priceless.

What was Frank's stance on drug laws? I've heard that he never tried drugs, but since you say he was Libertarian I would assume that he was liberal in that area.

Frank did not tolerate drug use in his band but didn't much care what anybody else did.

That's what I figured.
I was over at Grandma's house tonight and watched some "Antique Roadshow" with her. This lady had a Zappa painting by him from his junior college days. I can't remember what the guy appraised it for, but it was in the thousands.

Comparing zappa to anyone is crazy. Zappa was really smart and ahead of his time as were most of us. Point made. God we loved you frank zappa and let you speak for us silent folks so happily. You were so fun. Learyfan my friend, I hope you find one on ebay, you deserve it. You are good folks. "This Will Be Our Year" Gosh I owe you so much. Please never ask me to repay you. Your buddy thru thick or thin.
