Does anyone have any knowledge about Wal-Marts Brand "Natures Way" WBS. Do I have to pick out the Sunflower seeds??
Is this the wrong brand??

Sunflower seed husks (Shells) are a desired by these mycelium. The tek you read was the same one I did... (He just didn't desire them, as he thought they just wasted space. I find that they are as much required as vermeculite in BRF TEK, they also hold water.)

If you follow the TEK exactly, than any WBS will work, even those treated with chemicals. Even though it may not be mentioned, they all are. You WILL NOT find "Fresh" WBS... most sits on warehouse shelves for months before it hits the store shelves. If they didn't treat it, it would get moldy and not sell. (If you see it mentioned that they used anti-fungicides, then it is for advertising purposes, or because they are using a chamical that the LAW says that they HAVE to mention on the package, for liability from more caustic anti-fungicides.)

I believe the WALMART WBS is TREATED with a fungicide & other crap(BirdKote).

Bird Basics is not TREATED & is available @ PETCO for the same price
