Incubation Quesion

I couldn't find anything about this by searching the forums, so I appologize if it's already been discussed. I'm about to incubate my first batch of PF jars using the TiT method. I was wondering if it would be beneficial to remove the top tub and place the jars directly in the heated water, obviously not letting water get into the jars. My reasoning is that this would allow for more effecient and even heating (as water conducts heat better than air). Would this be a good idea, or just pointless? I'm certainly not an expert and this is my first time. Anyone try this or have any thoughts?

You better take care of me Lord, if you don't you're gonna have me on your hands.

You will run the risk of contamination because water will condense on the lid of the tub and drip down onto your jars.

TnT's are very efficient in their heating distribution. Also the jars closest to the aquarium heater would fluctuate in temp quite a bit when that heater does come on. GL
