we understand your difficulties, but we're trying to say it's not rocket science. Fungus will grow with pretty wide parameters. The only way it'd be possible to ruin your ops is if you take a giant shit on your casings. None of that shit you suggested will hurt your expieriments in any way. Rust will not harm mushrooms but it will harm metal. So if you pick something that would rust, it would be considered common sense to treat it so you dont have a mess to clean up.

Your asking for more then a little help, you want step by step directions on what to do...well heres what you do...go buy a martha and set it up and measure it...go to walmart and or home depot and figure out something that will fit in there...exactly as derx said, this isnt rocket science...anything you mentioned will work. The things you can't use should be common sense...like dont use wood cause wood soaking in water=bad. Metal or plastic is fine...be creative and dont expect everyone to spell it out for you. I certainly can and DO help...feel free to click my blue mushrooms under my name and see how many people have left feedback about me helping them...however when people want me to hold their hands...I don't. You were given the link that everyone uses you can see from that thread what does and doesnt work and if you cant then you need to read more.

I believe what magash uses are refridgerator shelves...but any shelves would do..when you ask general questions dont expect good answers.

Shelves came from the home depot and they are painted already. Just paint over the spots if you have to cut em.
