Serious question. Anyone here CONSTANTLY on shrooms?

That is, do you take them once or twice a day, every day? I'm interested if anyone has successfuly used mushrooms, less as a once in a while 'trip' but more as a long term behaviour therapy, in particular for treating depression and supressing hunger. I'd love to hear if anyone has munched their way to a level of shroom tollerance to the degree that they can live in the state of the 'aftergrow' and positive feelings at the end of a good trip, but without actually feeling 'trippy', so they can sleep well and function as normal.

I don't think psilocybin should be used that way or that using it that frequently would be beneficial for depression, weight loss, or whatever. Just my opinion based on some experience with this.

i did a couple summers ago, my freind and myself constantly imbibed mushrooms for about two months, after that, you dont need them anymore to be introspective and positive, thats been my life every since, but i dont know about changing any sort of behavior, it definitely changes your perception about everything which i suppose in turn could change behavior, so give it a shot.

Closest i`ve come is every 2-3 days for about 3 weeks, this is only due to set and setting and fact I gotta got to work for 8hrs else i`d have quite happily eaten them 24/7 (break for a few hrs b4 sleep to, actuasly get to sleep hehehe) so I say if you want to try it then go for it man , but if once your up or once you have been up for a while the shroom gives you the message to come down or slow down, then listen to them... as always

I never needed shrooms to be introspective or positive.
Mushrooms are known to change behavior, specifically.

Shroom tolerance builds up fast, so it's hard to trip too many days in a row. However, I once shroomed 3 times in 2 days.

The meaning of the effects would be lost quite quickly. That would keep me away no. 1 from doing every day tripping.
No to mention it's also sort of disrespectfull to the substance.

read about someone doing that and it started stories - apparently a very obnoxious and loud person became quiet, creepy and "in-his-own-world" that way.

it's not a perma-trip, you're not getting fead psilo all the time, it's more like enlightenment and realization of your powers.

This last summer I was tripping every 1-5 days for 2 months straight. by the end of the second month, i realized i was abusing the drug. I began to realize that for me anyway, a trip per month-2 months offers such enlightenment, and also that "sense of coming home". just my 2 cents...

The "perma-trip" can be achieved through rigorous mental discpline. Look at the Taoist monks, Bhuddists, and Hindus...they ALL strive to reach what you and I would consider, "perma-tripping". They do this without the use of any substance other than their own mind.
Combining psychadelics and mental training can initially yield greater results than just mental disciplne alone. Shrooms are a great way to "get started" on the lifelong quest for knowledge and inner peace.

likeclockwork said, well i might add, long live the perma trip! but i also have to agree that first of all they do send you a message to stop, and i personnaly felt i was abusing and therefore disrespecting this holy substance. which is why i stopped, its been a little over a year now, and im ready!
and besides, even a year later, with the exception of a wonderfull mescaline evening this summer, i still realize the insight that i have been delightfully envited to view every day.
i cant waitbecause i can feel myself losing it.

I was taking a tiny dose (~.05 g psilocybe cyanescens) every night for a couple weeks. Lots of dream effects, seemed to have an anti-depressant effect, but it also seemed to induce mood swings. It's a little to close to being bi-polar to use this way for me.
I was tripping on em up to 5 days a week and don't know what these tolerance people are talking about. It never lost any magic at all.

I got news for you buddy, these guys all were heads tripping on natural psychedelics before developing the meditation techniques they now use to trip without them.
