Mental health issues and eating mushrooms
    #3562973 - 12/30/04 10:32 PM (11 years, 11 months ago)

My friend and I have this friend we see who takes 4 types of drugs

1. Anti psychotic drug
2. Mood stabilizer
3. something to calm her down
4. hell I forgot

Anyways to top it all off shes Bi polar. and shes perscribed all these.

now when she was little and wasnt on the drugs she saw piles of dead girls laying in her room and heard things ...etc..

now my friend says she'll be ok if she eats mushrooms. I dont think she will be fine..thats some heavy shit shes on it might somehow conflict with the drugs she is taking

what are your opinions on whos right and whos wrong

I believe you are right. I know someone, a guy, with similar problems who did the same thing and it was a really bad bad experience.

Hi

My girlfriend is on anti-depressants and has a very troubled past too...I've done mushrooms with her twice now, the second time she was fine up until having an insane panic attack. I can't really elaborate, but I wouldn't recommend letting her use shrooms, as some of that disturbing history may resurface at a really inappropriate moment, like it did with my girlfriend.

On top of that, there could be some sort of reaction between her medication and the shrooms, which could leave her worse off than before.

It's a risk that I don't think is worth taking, there are other ways for her to expand her mind (non-chemical I mean). I hope she mights a decent decision.

Rich

Yeah, I wouldn't give her shrooms when she's on all those meds.

Mushrooms could help her - but - I would have her stop the meds she's on and experience life without them for awhile before giving her shrooms.

be very careful bro. i am bipolar myself, i very much dislike shrooms.. they can give you a horrible nightmare of a trip.. stick with lsd or something safer more enjoyable.. acid has always made me just laugh my ass off, no bad trips out of 20 hits so far... hopefully it stays that way.. i will say ive tripped on cid more than ive tripped on shrooms and like i said, no demonic horrifying trips

with that said i cant say that i havent had an awesome time with shrooms before.. like the 1st time i ate them when i was 16 (im 25 now).  its a roll of the dice. your odds at having a bad trip with shrooms are a lot higher it seems, esp being bipolar. id just make sure you have no regrets worries or doubts about it before ingesting. safe travels

But Jimi was feeling good - he'd shared some LSD with a friend, Herbert Worthington, who sat and watched him from the side: 'Jimi started singing "Spanish Castle Magic" and I was high, I was so happy, probably one of the happiest times of my life, being with an Angel [Jimi] and having a woman on each arm. I just went into an LSD laugh.' Jimi looked over to Herbert, realised that he too was peaking out on acid, tried to say something to Herbie, but it wouldn't come out.

Acid is safer....in what way, exactly, considering its chemical shit?
