What do you consider spiritual?
    #3562642 - 12/30/04 09:08 PM (11 years, 11 months ago)

Gardening - Watching the seed grow from a little piece of nothing into something so great as food or bird cages or ornaments for your christmas tree.

Relaxation - Spending time in my back yard smoking a cigarette as i watch the clouds go by.

Dreaming - Having dreams of connectidness.

Eating - Dietary habits. Starving oneself of a certain food.

What are some other things you consider to be spiritual?

Peace,
Droz

exercise, the development of your souls temple, conciously shaping it to better accomadate who you want to be or who you are.

dreaming, the exploration of your unlimited potential of creation, and the discovery of disconnected parts of the self

compassion, seeing through the illusion of seperateness and acting, ACTING on the knowledge that helping others is helping yourself.

Communication, real deep honest communication uncencored by fear and social norms, sharing the wisdom of your life with other souls, learning and teaching, connecting.

Meditating, shaping your drunken monkey mind to better serve you, concious development of the self in all aspects, mental physical etc are sprittual activities, its all about concious transformation and evolution

drugs, psychadelic drugs, used with spiritual intent, become spiritual experiences.

communing with the wilderness, walking alone in nature, is very spiritual, its a silent communication with gaia.

gazing at the blue sky or anything else that makes you feel AWE. AWE is a very spiritual emotion for me.

martial arts. the contest of souls, testing yourself, exherting yourself AGAINST someone elses strength yet still WITH him, like a joyous mutual confrontation of friendship. great feeling.

Art, any form of art, artists are inherently spiritual, they bridge the gap between spiritual/mental realms and the physical world, they go into the depths of the creative world and bring back things of beauty to share with us all.

pooping is also spiritual..

so is listening to music.

everything is of course but this thread is really about what have you LEARNED TO SEE as spiritual and not what really IS spiritual you know?

Ditto to what you both said. I think in a way, anything can be spiritual if you are in a spiritual frame of mind. I bought my brother and his wife a 'CD doctor' for christmas. It's a motorized device that buffs the scratches out of CD's. My sister in law was especially greatfull for the gift and she even remarked "...that is such a good gift; you've given us a new outlook on life...". I think she was being a little facetious when she made that comment, but really, if you think about it, watching thinks get cleaned an repaired can have spiritual conotations. I actually get a spiritual buzz when I clean.

Probably the one most spiritual things, for me anyway, is to really forgive someone, or be forgiven. Watching things complete their course (before beginning again) like an eclipse...

Sclorch - I dig your avatar.
Did you create that yourself?

Yeah... I cropped, filtered, and tweened some image I found online.
I think it looks like a real life version of the white spy from the Spy vs. Spy comics in Mad magazine.
