I exiled my cake. Is it dead?
    #3561619 - 12/30/04 03:47 PM (11 years, 11 months ago)

I have a cake that I've already gotten one flush off of and during the second one, I left my house for a while for about five days. I cleaned the cake of any pins and turned my pump off. For the past five days, it's gotten no light, fresh air, or humidity other than what may have been in there. When I got home, I noticed a few pins had popped up. I was wondering if I can revive my cake after five days of it being dormant? Like just turn the pump back on and start venting and lighting on a regular basis. Or is the cake shot to hell? I have already started trying to revive it but am wondering if I'm wasting my time.

You can also lightly scrap off any pins which more than likely are aborts and any other myc matter (growths) and dunk it for 18-24hrs. this will give it a big boost (kick in the pants) :whip:  :mushroomgrow: :mushroomgrow: :mushroomgrow: :mushroom2: :mushroom2: :mushroom2:

Just an update, My cake is fine and it seems that it never lost a beat. The second flush is coming in about as thick as the first. But the first flush was no giant. So 5 days of solitary confinement and it didnt seem to harm it.
