Goes under the ring just like you'd do grain jars. Lid with 1 or 2 small holes in it, tyvek, ring. Poke through the tyvek to inject and cover with tape or better, a bandaid.

I myself just use a regular lid and leave it cracked for gas exchange then just tighten, shake then loosen again. (KISS)

Tyvek allows gas exchange...like I said..2 holes in the lid then tyvek to cover the holes. Thats how I do it now but I'll be attempting one without tyvek or gas exchange except an upsidedown (maybe loosened) lid. If you do it Hyphaes way you should leave it loosened all the time its incubating...I think in the fridge you could leave it tightened though since you are trying to slow things down anyway. Other then that you only tighten the lid down to shake it.

Wait till you try and peel that tyvek off the bottom of the lid...if you put it on the top much less karo water (or whatever) gets between the lid and tyvek to stick it on...that shits STICKY.
Its just like grains though..you can put the tyvek whereever...I put it on the top for the sticky reason, plus that way I can write on it...same reason I put the tyvek between the lid and ring on grain jars...some people put them under the lid though..its all personal preference.
