Fuck yeah, clay shooting is awesome. I have a friend who works at the local shooting range and he hooks it up. Even with him hooking it up, it is an expensive sport.

I seem to have a knack for it. My first time out(I hadn't shot a shotgun in years), I was nailing about 40% of the pulled birds.

it can definitely be pricey. this was over some marshes on private property. i didn't supply the ammo or clays... didn't even have to bring my own gun. can't beat that.

if you do it a lot it helps to reload shells.

Shit yes I trap shoot. I love it, I don't really shoot any flying animals, I go pheasent hunting alot but rarely do I shoot because I don't care for eating them but once in awhile, I just love watching my lab work the animals.

I love to trap shoot though. I think it's a pretty cheap sport myslef, I have access to dozens of places I can shoot any time for free and I have an automatic clay thrower. A box of 100 clays cost what 4$? and a box of skeet shot is about the same with only 25 shells, that isn't a problem with me though because my dad has a reloader and we usually sit down and do a thousand or so in a few nights once every year or so.

What is really fun is midnight madness shooting with the tracer shot and the glowing clays, then you are talking expensive but damn those are fun.

In my prime when I did this heavily I was shooting 90% or better, I could put out a candle with a 22-250 at 75 yards with out touching the wick and I could stick an arrow right inside another from 25 yards with my bow. It's a hell of alot of fun but it takes alot of patients and alot of practice to get really good.
