i was at the high time web site awhile ago. i saw the 'spore trading post', and thought well maybe i wanna grow shrooms. i saw his prices and decided its to much for me. luckily i found this site. have u seen his "Indorr Patches", well there the same ones sold at fungi.com. he must buy them and sell em for a few dollars more. im not to good in the legal business but im pretty sure thats illegal.

Anyone that's grown could read the site and tell that those super strains are a load of crap. But that doesn't help all the newbies that are being taken advantage of. He's just tellin' folks what they wanna hear. bigger, better, faster, exclusive strains.. We all know the type.
thugg.. reselling a product is not illegal. It's very common.

I didn't read this entire thread but by looking at all the other advertizements in that putrid magazine they woln't do shit. Basically all the other ads in high times are bullshit ads for "legal highs." They have all this stuff that looks similar to marijuana and has a name like "bc bud" or "thai sticks" and they sell it for weed prices. "Wizard smoke" anyone? And then there is even a mushroom knockoff "Shroomz" (I think thats the name) and they say "feed your head." Even the articles in high times are complete bullshit. There is nothing but nonsense and good bud pics. Even their "grow info" is bullshit. Numerous times have I seen an article on growing that is bullshit. But they do have nice bud pics. Maybe we should treat high times like a porno magazine; no one buys it for the articles, they buy it to drool over the pictures.
If 90% of the ads are selling fake drugs that are overpriced do you think they will do something about an ad that sells overpriced spores?

You guys wanna do something about this "tradingpost dickhead"? We could start by adding a line to all of our signatures here at DDI, FF and any other mushroom related site about this guy. The word WILL get around eventually. Just think how many bad references that would be if all or most of us took part. A letter writing campaign "may" provide some results but I doubt it you know the saying "money talks" and thats all High Times is interested in. There is nothing worse for a vendor than to have a thousand people saying how much he sucks. If that dont work someone find out where his operation is and maybe one of those unfortunate "acts of god" might befall this guy, never know??

I hope they at least give this a serious look...
But what else can we do? I was looking at his website again and it makes me mad to see what he's doing.... This just isn't right!

I never forget that, what a joke, anyone with a brain can tell he did that to draw attention away from his scamming.... If it was true then I'm saddened by that behavior, but I do understand the anger against this guy.... Even the 'Keeper' himself admits to his prices being outrageous!

For the past year or so that I've been here, the whole Z-Strain/SporeTradingPost conspiracy has continued to darken the cheery mood here at the Shroomery for two reasons...
1) He violates the sense of peaceful, sharing community that is the Shroomery (most of the time, lol), where even the spore suppliers understand that they are aiding you in creating something beautiful....not just selling you a product for profit. By taking advantage of those who've come to create that thing of beauty for the first time, STP rapes those who don't know any better...all for the high margin of a one time, bad deal.
2) I believe running such a terrible business simply drags the magic mushroom down into the realm of "common drugs", among the likes of crack dealers...where profit is the bottom line. His outright lies and flagrant prices are in line with crappy E-dealers and red rock opium suppliers who make the local news when the product they sell kills a kid...
Anyways, I'm right with you guys. The high prices are bad enough, and the plagarism and stolen cult teks are just the icing on the cake. Glad to know there are still loads of good apples here, ready to take down the death star without a giant flame war. I'll be sending my High Times email tomorrow.

i can see that 99$ is a fucking rip off, and that this guy has to be though a lesson, but something u said got me thinking.

its rather strange that just because someone gave a diff name to something it is silly, dose everyone have to refer to strains the same way as the shroomery? I don't remember seeing B+ anywere in P.S books. I think u are forgetting that vendors here come up with "new" and "silly" strains every week, its kinda sad that some many get so excited about a strain they probably already have.
anyways besides that, i've sent a letter to HS / M.Kuchon via email. Sorry if i came off as rude, i guess this is just an issue for me, anyways nothing personnel. Peace

Yeah but vendors give strains proper names, especially when they grow and determine exactly what they have is new or original...
Don't forget just a few months before the big war against STP started, The keeper was asking Ryche and lots of people here simple questions about, incubation temps, etc....
The guy is no pro, he probably knows little more than most of us about growing... Ryche, Sporeworks, etc.. They know a lot about what they are doing, if they get a new strain they confirm it and then offer it up... Do you think the Keeper does the same?
Besides just look at most of his photos he has on his website, some are just pathetic. Back in the day he even used some of Ryche's photos, once Ryche found out about his pricing scam he immediately told him off and said he want's his pics removed and didn't want anything to do with him.
A scammer like him is ordering spores from vendors (originally thats what he did) and then growing them, changing the name so he can say "hey, its a special strain, thats why its so expensive" .... If he outright had a cambodian syringe at say $90 dollars he would have less ability to scam people since we all know that is totally bullshit.. But newbies think that the Z strain is some magicly powerfull thing, so they fall for his scam.

do know that his ad rep has spoken with him and sees no reason to
remove his advertisement from our site as his retail prices are the
only issue, which isn't exactly a "scam". welcome to
capitalism...whether his karma will be wrecked by this is another
matter. if you are interested in advertising your low prices with us
you would probably kick his ass in sales if the price difference is
as significant as you say. until that happens, he will be one of the
few mushroom advertisers on our site and will therefore get
interested customers.

She's right, the AD rep for HighTimes defended the ADS saying that its his right to charge what ever he wants, etc...
While its sad, its true that he can.. But if we could just put someone up against this guy in High Times he would loose tons of business. Too bad the AD rates are pretty steep.
Well Merilee is very cool, we've communicated our thoughts to High Times, I know she agrees but in her position she can't do anything about it..... So I've removed the email address for Merilee and ask that no one email her anymore.
I will not stop trying to spread the anti-sporetrading post sentiment. I frequent a lot of boards now and I will always be ready to stop anyone from buying from this guy.

Have we explained to them how his business not only rips people off, but he often will not deliver or give contaminated things such as syringes? Maybe if we all donate, we can get a web advertisement or magazine ad pointing to one of the vendors sites and have that site explain how much the stp sucks.
We need a "stop that fucking jewish bastard keeper from ripping any more poeple off" fund.
