I find kratom to be very much like a mild opiate. It's a keeper for sure - but I space out my use because it can make me lethargic and inactive. As with everything, there's lots of info on erowid. Powder is just crushed leaf. They are the same potency by weight, but you should get the powder, as it skips a step for usually the same price. I used to make tea, which works. But it's a pain in the ass steeping it 3 or 4 times and drinking all that bitter liquid. Then one day I pulled my head out of my ass, took a rounded teaspoon of powder and mixed it into some yogurt, and - bang! Stronger effects, quicker, with MUCH less (oz of tea=2 highs, eating=4-6). Ice cream and applesauce also work great. Also, a lot of times the "powder" contains lots of chunkis and stems - coffee grinder always makes it way better - the finer the powder, the easier it is to get down. Enjoy.
