Why, yessum, I just landed myself a summer job up there from a friend. I'll be patrolling lakes and or rivers with him. Looks like the On the Road adventures will definitely be going on hold for sometime.
I'll work 9 days straight then get 5 off, that should give a perfect chance to hike all kinds of trails up there. This is going to be amazing.

It's going to kick so much ass!
He spent last summer up there and knows his way around pretty good, I spent Christmas Eve lost in his photo album for an hour before he let me know he wanted me to come up there with him. I tried applying for this sort of thing when I got out of high school and I didn't even get a response, thank god for connections!

dood, you lucky fucker! i got to drive through there a few years ago, god damn is it NICE. thats about the perfect job i think. are you liek a park ranger? not too sure what the american parks do for staffing so im kinda ignorant....
anyway have fun with that, bitching park in a bitchin state!!!!!!!

awesome . i spent last winter up there. there are usually a assload of elk right by the eastern park HQ

It sounds like I will be a ranger of some sort. I won't be writing tickets or anything like that but reporting problems, fires, ect. I haven't gotten all the details yet, just a general idea of what I'll be asked. I'm getting together with the guy who made the offer this weekend to further discuss the situation.

That is cool that you'll be a ranger type person there. I will be swinging through Glacier National Park next summer on a big road trip I am taking. Maybe I'll see you there!
