Should I make for the high hills?

So anyway, massive earthquake, mega-waves of destruction, 23,000 dead and counting...
It's enough to make me reevaluate my current location. Or more appropriately, I'm feeling paranoid enough to consider fleeing to Canada where I can live in total solitude in the wilderness away from the nightmarish hell-on-earth that I'm afraid might follow.
Okay, or maybe it's just the whole, "we're in the end days!" discussion that's getting me a bit nervous.
How serious do you think this situation is, really? Is it serious enough that I should reconsider my entire future right now?
And I realize this post might read a little bit weird...but I want to get the fuck out before any more shit hits the fan. I'm thinking survival, and my predisposition to anxiety makes me edgy in the face of all this world turmoil.
So what should I do? My instinct says to run while I still can.

I think that you need to calm down and not worry so much. What happened is really horrible, and if the events to come are predestine then might as well sit back and just have hope. I live on Vancouver Island, and if any quakes hit here I'll be in the ocean for sure (Underground, my whole damn town is old abandoned mine shafts).
If everything's going to get swallowed up in the ocean, then I think it'd be pretty damn reassuring to reside in the canadian shield. Although I'm not going to flee..

I'm feeling calmer now. I just feel sad for the family and friends of all who died.

Yeah I had that really distant, bad mushroom trip type feeling earlier today. It rocked me, but for some reason it quickly disappeared thank goodness! Blah I hope it doesn't come back. And I really hope that the ground doesn't suprise me and swallow this island unexpectedly.
Lets hope for the best, eh

you better hurry up before the land becomes deforested and a big fat pipeline will be where you lived.
