Green in casing
    #3547337 - 12/27/04 10:02 AM (11 years, 11 months ago)

Hi,

I have a casing that is pinning pretty nicely except for one minor detail. There are tiny patches 'bout 1/2" square of green. They are probably mold spots. I want to know if there is a way to just "take them out" or rescue this casing. Second, I have this cake that has superb pinning but there are tiny spots of green, not all out contamination growth but it still concerns me.

Thanks.

isolate the casing and cut out about 1/2 inch around the spots, wait and see

Also, try misting H2O2 lightly on the area that you cut out. Make sure to miss your pins!

I lost a casing today. I could only see a very small spot on top but the substrate was FUBAR! Be certain that it is only local and fill the hole with table salt!
