Well you can use Mycobags, or oven bags etc.
And that would give you a large ammount of spawn, mix that in with a large ammount of Poo(or straw or both) and thats a bulk tek.
Your large ammount of grain could make numerous grain casings , but it wouldnt really be a "bulk" tek.

Jars and oven bags are just what the grain goes in, not what sterilizes it. To do grain you NEED a PC. Otherwise you can go with the PF Tek (BRF/Verm). If you want more mushies then what the PF can provide you either need to get a PC or pasteurize shit/straw and spawn the PF cakes to that and use that as substrate.

What he said ^^^^^^^^^
and I didnt hear you say this "something that doesnt involve the pc"
Grains always involve a PC, but I have cooked BRF jars with only a pot of hot water and had SOME success(way back when, before my PC)

Awww muffin has to wait not even 2 hours to heat up, cook and cool down a PC to get his mushrooms.
If you think 2 hours is a while, get out of this hobby now, its not for you.

Your talking to someone who spends a dozen hours just PCing grain every week..sorry that you get no sympothy from me. 2 hours for even a quart of grain that you can easily get 2 ounces off of. Pretty damn good wages for 2 hours if you ask me..and thats assuming you can only do 1 quart at a time.

You obviously live with your parents.
Back when I still lived with mine, I would just wait until they are asleep, and then cook.
Sometimes I would stick a cloth or something in with the jars to reduce noise(DO NOT use a coloured cloth, the dye will bleed right out under the high temps)
2 hours isnt long, and as Scatmanrav said, "If you think 2 hours is a while, get out of this hobby now, its not for you."
Because if that bothers you, things like waiting for pins to form, wainting for a bulk sub to colinzie, etc, will seem like pure torture.
