digi camera questions
    #3542549 - 12/25/04 07:49 PM (13 years, 4 months ago)

hello all,

i recently just got a Fujifilm, FinePix A330 digital camera and it rocks. now that i got a camera, i want to post some cool picks here at the shroomery and at other forum communities. though all the photos i take are oversized and the can't be posted. is there a way to either resize them on my computer or anything? i tried to edit in Windows paint program but it didn't help out. is there usually a setting on digi's that allows for lowering the mb or whatever? how do you guys usually get your pics ready for the forums?

i'm new to the whole digital camera thing, so please don't get too technical
muchos gracias me amigos

Easy, just insert your picture into microsoft word, resize the picture to how you want, copy the picture into paint (or any image program), then save it as a .jpeg

..tell me how it goes

Good luck

In Adobe Photoshop you can change the file size and image size of a large group of photos (at one time) with the batch conversion tool. I usually start out at 4megapixels then batch convert to compressed JPEGs at 60% quality and 40% size. You should shoot for file sizes that are well under 100k.
