Not so big and not so clean. A cambo from you was contamm ridden with some green mold and a $10 B+ print was light and small. The prints I sent you were fat and dark.
I'm just complaining because you advertise your own prints, have your own website, and isn't it against the rules for a vendor to be a mod?

I find that really hard to believe Tom. Although the prints we receive from ANY source may not meet the expectations of our imagination, I have dealt with Ralphster and never been dissapointed. I would hazard to guess the same is felt by the majority of anyone who has dealt with him. Sure is easy to blame the print for our own screw ups :-)

Personally,I think it's great that Ralphster offers us his personal prints.I think it's great that he keeps the FSR running for all of us to enjoy, and I think it's great that he is a moderator. The man donates enough of his time and services, and he offers a wealth of information.

i got a B+, GC, and a pan trop from ralph, they were hugh, i must have made 10 syringes from the B+, with more to be made, the GC i made five syringes and plenty more to go, no contams. the pan trop was actually two prints, made three syringes, and their cased right now. i couldn't be more satisfyed. it a shame that that troll max wants to ruin somebody when they have some success. when ralph starts selling syringes the whole spore vendor market w ill turn upside down. people like max will have to start compeating with people who care about their customers and want to see them succeed. ralph isn't trying to make a living selling spores, he's trying to help people grow. in all honesty, ralph has helped more people try more strains, than max has in five years. ask ralph a question and he answers it, ask max a question and he tells you to buy spores from him. your days are numbered max. and the sooner your out of business the better the whole OMC will be

and tom, if you want to hear about a guy who got really screwed, go over to the Forest Floor, in the spore exchange forum,under a thread titled "customs in the US" you read about a guy who bought three spore syringes from a vendor who considers himself a mushroom superhero, and two of the three syringes were contaminated! and this vendor operates under a grant from the United Nations, for a nice little amount of 2.4 BILLION dollars. got that right from the vendors site. and he can't make a sterile syringe!

Anyone who gets a print from the FSR is taking a calculated risk. Ralph recieves prints for the FSR from different sources sometimes he gets donations from reliable spore vendors, sometimes he gets them from people who have varying degrees of experience in this fine art of mushroom cultivation. Ralph cannot guarantee the sterility of every print he sends out from the FSR. I received 2 camby prints from the FSR and out of the 12 jars 6 eventually came down with "green mold". Since did 6 jars with each print and did them at the same time using the same teks its quite possible that 1 of the prints was contamed. I didnt say anything cause I knew the chance I took for my buck. I still have 6 jars 3 of which are producing nice looking camby's right now. The only reason Im bringing this up now is because Tom claims to have gotten a bad camby print also. I think i owe it to the FSR to let Ralph know that its possible he has a bad batch. It happens, big shit lets move on. As far as being a mod and a vendor I do not know what the shrooms rules are concerning this but rules should apply to everyone, nothing personal.

But for 20 dollars i recieved 2 pan cyan prints, 2 pan trop prints, 1 puerto print, and 1 koh samui. My recent purchase of Ralphster's personal prints was met with great satisfaction. Lipi ya germinated in 24 hours on agar, columbian (?, don't know details) was only 24 hours behind (And both contam free, btw). Fairly good indicator of freshness, I figure... All seven strains were extremely dense and a couple with smaller caps had multiple prints.
I had earlier recieved a wild print from the fsr. It was isolated on agar, but then I f**ked up when I did the transfer to grain. I still have the plate stored for future tinkering though.
The reason I bring it up is that I figure it's like buying a car. You aren't gonna get a new cadillac for $5000 unless it has some liabilities that need to be addressed (Hell, you still wouldn't get it that cheap). A dollar can go a long way with the implementation of agar. I just wish that I could grow 100 new caddies the same way.
And JFYI Ralphster, I think I'll have my printing issues worked out by the time I do these agar transfers. It was too humid here lately, I'm guessing. I figure that I can make a mini-dehumidifier that I can run in my glovebox. Unless I'm the only guy without central air, I think a few of us will really dig the design.

Those $5000 Caddy's aren't hard to get... you just have to dispose of the body in the trunk by yourself! Guess it's the same with a $1 spore print... a little extra agar work and savings and success.

Maybe I didn't HAVE to go with agar, but it was labeled a wild print. And I figured that I could avoid losing the whole print due to my numerous mistakes by only screwing up a few spores at a time. I didn't have a glovebox then, and the stove thing doesn't work all that well for me. I thought that this procedure would be my best option.
Now I love the stuff... for all my spores.

he has done far more to this community & i think his efforts are under-appreciated, as well as dimitri has been under-appreciated.
2 guys who go out of their ways to make spores, supplies, etc. more affordable to people who cant affort everything they would like., instead they get flamed...why?

free spore ring thing is something everybody likes.
That ralphster44 guy sounds like a nice person to me.
On the other hand,That captain mushroom is a jerk.

if you want prints glen, try the free spore ring, they have a much better selection than you!

jim, over the past 4 years, we've had ALL those strains on our menu. The Gulf Coasts, the Treasure Coasts, the Ecuadors, etc. Some of them we are bringing back but mostly we are going just with the favorites of our customers and a few new strains that we are bringing to the masses.
