I guess this would be the best forum to put this in, since it is about hunting.

That was the most uneducated peice of material I've ever read.
Magic mushrooms an urban legend? Yeah right. Simialar to MDMA and ecstacy? Dont they know those two drugs are one in the same? And that, well in my opinion, shrooms are nothing like MDMA.
Those teenage girls were uneducated an very stupid to just go out and just pick and eat something that they didnt even know the genus of, let alone the species or anything. They were too uneducated about fungi to do any of that. They made a very poor decision. They had no idea what they were doing, and look where it got them.
However this post is a good example to others, showing the dark side of hunting mushrooms when fungi ignorance is in play.

heh, I saw that too, that was the front page story in the local paper today...obviously several weak attempts at disinformation & propaganda...Im glad those idiots are ok, but what concerns me is that the author makes it sound like knowledgable ppl are out there collecting destroying angels & confusing them w/ psilocybe cubensis everyday...imho, one has to be singularly uniformed or a complete moron to confuse the two, I have seen both in the wild & they look nothing alike...uniformed stories of general idiocy like this are bad news for the shroom community, think how many bored, washed up soccer moms read that today...eventually garbage like that is going to make the big time...OPRAH: so Dr. Phil, tell us about these so called "magic mushrooms"...DR. PHIL: well oprah, anyone can grow these mushrooms, all one needs is some common household items & spores legally purchased on the web, these mushrooms have been proven to cause brain damage & even death...OPRAH: Dr. Phil, thats REALLY SCARY!!!...reefer madness type anti- shroom propaganda will become widespread, soccer moms will band together in an uniformed activist group called something like M.A.M.M. (Mothers Against Magic Mushrooms)...say goodby to legal spores & online communities, all because of idiots & morons like the folks in the above story...as with anything of value, the minority will ruin it for the majority...be smart, excersise wisdom, cultivate awareness!
