Depression is annoying
    #3534333 - 12/23/04 12:15 AM (19 years, 3 months ago)

I have to say, its been a few years now since I've had it, doesn't seem to get any better. On average, I think about death 1 to 5 times a day. I don't think there is a cure for it, just something that I need to cope with.

Yeah, it's a shitty way to live, but here's a good point that a friend of mine made:

Assume it takes about one second to kill yourself.
Assume you've been alive for 25 years.

That means there's been 788,400,000 chances to kill yourself, but you've been STRONG enough to keep on going.  How's that for willpower?  :smirk:

Seriously though, everything works out in the end.

(And if it's biological depression, well, that sucks too, but you can still beat it.)

Yes, depression is a bitch, especially when there's other mental health issues to deal with. I've been on Zoloft for about 2 years, and it really helps with the depression. You should really see someone about this before you do something you'll regret later. There's no shame in seeking help when you need it.

I really believe if I keep busy and learn to cope more, that depression will ease off. Anti-Drepressents seem like a good alternitive, but I think this depression will build character in the end, when it gets out of control then I will resort to anti-depressents.

I think it may be biological, my father has it, my brother and my sister and my other sister and my mom probly has it too, so basicly we are one big depressing family.

I agree, I thought about seeking help, someday I may do that, I want to experiment with it though, I find that having a goal really helps, or even a few.

I wanna end this thread here, But I would like to say to all those who suffer from depression, hang in there and remember to wait it out, because when things can't feel any worse, like the feeling of depression , things can only get better. Even with this in your mind it is hard to snap out of depression though. But like I said, it goes away.
