Inducing pinning/flushing
    #3533131 - 12/22/04 09:37 PM (12 years, 4 months ago)

I've recentlybeen paying more attention and effort to the temperature in my grow room. I've read a lot about the optimum temps, but I was wondering if there is any temperature change necessary to make them flush. My first attempt has been pinning and maturing fruits very slowly since they began fruiting. I just birthed a new round of trays, and I think I understand inducing pinning pretty well(95% hum. and about 70 degrees, right?). However, I was wondering if at some point I should change temp or humidity levels to make up sprout up quick. Sorry if this is a bit incoherent, it's a been a long, drug filled 2 days. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've had success in getting casings to fruit with merely a 10 degree drop. From 85F incubation chamber to 75F fruiting chamber, then introduce fresh air, misting (RH) and lighting - this seems to work fine for me.

I think you'll see slightly slower growth at 70 versus 75, but they will still fruit at that temp. Just expect a little longer wait time.

You can cold-shock the trays overnight in a clean fridge to help induce pinning.
