using myco bags
    #3532021 - 12/22/04 01:51 PM (19 years, 3 months ago)

I just recently started using mycobags with rye grain and water as a substrate. The bags are colonizing (a little slower then expected), but not fruiting. Can anybody give me some suggestions, please?! I'm getting frustrated.

I have noticed the filterpatch on the myco bag does a DAMN good job...I tried to open the bag (pull sides apart) to "suck" air into the bag...just couldn't do it. Gotta figure that meens when the bag poufs out a bit, thats co2 only....not getting much fresh air in there, and from what I understand the elevated co2 levels will slow down myc growth slightly...

I know what strikes me as odd about this. It is totally unnatural. The whole idea is just totally backwards.

So are historians going to look back at 'The Great Cake Eaters'? Damn. That was a backwards step in the evolutionary process. We left Shroomheads in the dust. Welcome to the new age of Vermheads.

You want them fruiting and colonizing at the same time? Why would you want to screw up your grow?

You need to do some more reading.

Turn your closet into a fruiting chamber
