how long is too long?

i've had rye soaking for 48 hours, is it still ok to simmer and pc? or has it been too long? :mushroom2: :mushroom2: :mushroom2:

If your grain hasn't split and started to germinate its ok but i'd get it out of the water right now if it hasn't.

i just took it out and theres no sprouts,, is that what im looking for?? it smells funky and the water is foamy but the berries look normal so i rinsed em a lot and now theyre gonna simmer for a little.....:) theyre for g2g so theyll get colonized pretty quick anyway!

Youll be just fine, but for future reference your rye filled water will start to jproduce bacteria.
