Had? They're still around.
They probably have the occasional error, but they do their best to point out when something might not be right, and correct any errors on their pages and I honestly can't think of a more reliable source anywhere.
They've got a hard working and very dedicated group there. Props to them.

Erowid has probably made taking drugs a lot safer for a lot of people.

Being that the notion of "reliable information" itself is going to be a constantly shifting definition, especially when drugs are often very user-specific as far as reactions go, I think Erowid does a great job of giving a great amount of different information. People just need common sense, need to know their own limits - both physically and psychologically.

Chemicals can be made illegal but not instructions...trust me, if that ever happened, I think even the ACLU would raise an eyebrow at the infringements that could stem from something like that. The government would have a point in doing it, but everyone knows limiting info like that is seen by many as a stepping stone to tyranny and whether people advocate drugs or not, they'll stand against it.

erowid is pretty good, they aren't perfect in some respects, but they come close

they shut www.chemhead.org down it was a fourm like the shroomery but for tweakers it like 20 meth recipies aparently the owner also owned a chem supply website witch i never saw any links to it worked two yrs ago jan 2003

What's really great is that a search for LSD on Yahoo's #1 result is theantidrug.com, and #2 result is Erowid.

I'm sure all these drug sites are really only around because it gives Law Enforcement an eye on the drug scene.

yeah right! My friend works in the ER and she used this site, cauz some kid came in all fucked up and the doctors had no idea what kinda drug(silly pharmy) the kid said he had taken!

I READ AN ARTICLE ABOUT THIS DURING THE 2C-I CRAZE... EROWID GETS 30,000 ORIGOAL HITS A DAY (sorry for the caps) and many doctors and hospitals use it for a reference when a kid comes in blazing saying he ate some rc or crazy pharmie
