OK, I was thinking of simplyfying my growing technique a little bit and had a few ideas that I am not sure will work or not. I was thinking of taking those styrofoam coolers and just putting down a layer of perlite on the bottom, crumbling the cakes or finch seed for the quart jars on top, and then casing with coco-fiber right in the stryfoam chest. I would then mist the whole thing down put a lid on it and heat it with a heating pad. Do you think that this setup will work and provide enough humidity if misted and fanned maybe 3 times a day. I am currently using rubbermaid containers with perlite for humidty with aluminam trays of pf style cakes cased with coco-fiber. Any suggestions are helpful. Thanks!

the humidity will work. the only problem with that setup is that water droplettes will run down the sides of the terrarium causing either contams or yellow mycelium. i heard that you can put vaseline on the sides/top to stop water droplettes from building up but ive never seen it done.
