Troubles with black heads- need help

Ok, I have used Hippies neglect tek(keep cakes in jars) This actually works extremely well, but recently some of my little mushrooms have black heads, I do not believe this is rot because they are still growing. Please help cause it seems to slow growth and minimize their size.
