WET MYCELIUM IN CAKES?
    #3516949 - 12/18/04 11:15 AM (19 years, 3 months ago)

Okay so I have some jars and some have like a white look to them like mycelium but they look like there is mycelium damage with to much water...there are like bubbles forming on the jar. and making myc. look stringy and rhizomorphic. is this normal?

Unless the strings are cobweb mold it's good. At what % are they colonized? The myc actually starts to make the excess water bead-up. This could also meen that they are too warm. What is your incubation temp?

I as well have water beading up on the glass where the myc has formed, but I keep my incubator temp at 82F.  I think it is normal, and plus it sounds like you have healthy mycelium, all ropey and rhizomorphic.  Just keep an eye on it.    :eyeball:
