If the Cubensis was named after Cuba, why havent we ever seen a cubensis from there??

Stropharia Cubensis Earle(syn=Psilocybe cubensis (Earle) Singer) was not named after Cuba. It was named because it was first reported from Cuba. However, French Mycologist Patouillard also discovered the mushroom at the very same time from Tonkin (Viet-Nam) and named it Naematoloma caerulescens, but did not pubnlish his paper until after Earle published his.
