nice una how soon are you expecting some carpophores from that beautiful azure bed... i wouldn't mind trying azures but they seem very difficult to cultivate

Your asure patch is looking very lush and green. I cant wait to see shrooms popping up from it.:) How long do you expect this patch to live? Or is it a seasonal thing and theyll just keep on growing year after year? Thanks for the great pics.;)

Probably it won't be until november until it starts to fruit. It should produce mushrooms for some years. Since winters are not that harsh here i assume that it will survive the winter without any harm

I was wondering what would be a good kind of small woodchip I could use to start up my azure bed Una. You said you used beech spawn bags and then the bigger woodchips. It's just I have a bunch of azure spawn on rye and haven't gotten it out yet. I think I'm just going to go cut down a maple tree or something but I probably won't get any azures this year, and that sucks. The pet stores around here don't sell beech bedding for pets so any help would be appreciated. thanks
