dunking and casing?? harmful??

if someone were to dunk their cakes for say 18 hours, then case them the next day, would this make the cakes TOO wet? or would it be beneficial? note that the cakes have already had 1 flush. please respond quickly, this person plans too dunk in about 2 hours if nothing is said

It's not needed. The casing will provide all the water the mycelia needs.

ok thanks puscle. after i thought about it for a while i realized that dunking and casing really serve the same purpose so why do both?
