Just pound it on the ground then use a fork to help work it out

i swear im not a complete idiot -- yes it was a wide mouth jar i just dont think i gave it enough time to fully grow, i got impatient and then i didnt take it out of the jar completely b4 adding the h2o and peroxide -- i was being lazy and cutting corners and now im paying the price-- well in my defense i was also afraid of pulling it out of the jar (like i did the first one) and hurting it--- this is my first birth. thnx for the suggestions

That might be the problem. I think that you are hitting the wrong end. Put the lid back on. Wham it against your other palm. When the jar stops, the innards will want to keep moving, like what happens when you hit the brakes hard. Inertia is your friend.

Haha, I couldn't find any wide mouth jars for my first grow and they were all completely colonized a couple days ago (only like 6 cakes). And  when I went to take them out after dunking them, they just wouldn't no matter how much I tried. In the end, I just just got mad and brought out the hammer (Yes, I know..). Very soon, glass went everywhere and I soon had my babies released from the canning jars. Desperate times call for desperate measures I guess.

Cut it up while its in the jar, and then case it in a zip-lock mini tupperware case, or use 18 oz. solo cups with straight verm or 50/50+ if ya have some on top.
