Let the sober times begin...
    #3514560 - 12/17/04 05:05 PM (19 years, 3 months ago)

I have promised myself I would not drink or take drugs, or any of that stuff again until Feb.

I can already feel the "drug craving" I get. That feeling of, "Oh going a bit out of my mind would be fun right now.".

Sigh.

the first week's the only hard part. after that, your mind starts to get used to not having certain chemicals in it and you start to feel normal.

I'm with you, I've been wanting to quit for a while because I like that fresh feeling you get when you abstain from all drugs for a few days, plus I've been smoking far too much weed recently. I am very weak willed though and if I wasn't dry I would no doubt but smoking up tonite.

Once you make it through the first few days it gets easier.. stick with it!

Certain things are 10x better when you haven't been around them for awhile.

Good luck in your journey. Any goal is attainable. Just think of how much fun it will be after a break.

aaahhhhh good luck
i prefer to be sober.  drugs don't go well with me, but i do enjoy an introspective mushroom trip every once in a while.

the only sober i'm still trying to deal with is smoking cigs.  if i work hard at work and find something to do by myself for the rest of the day and keep busy, i'll go without a cig for like 6 days.  hm, keep your mind and body busy.

its not too hard man, ive been sober almost two months
first week or two is hardest but still not that bad
if you have been smoking a lot of weed you will start feeling really fucked up after 3 or 4 weeks but it's cool

definately try and do it, takes a good month to get the shit out, and then at least a few more weeks to adjust and start thinking

honestly, i wish i could make every drug user in the world, but chronic chronic smokers in particular, stop for a month and see what it is like
i am not anti drug or anything, but the shit fucks you up.

probably doing mushrooms in a day or two though yum

The sober is going easy now, just had a few days of missing mind bending drugs. I had a dream last night that I was running toward these bag of mushrooms and I couldn't get them. heh.

Yes pot, I don't like weed much though, beer, anything at all.

I'm having a bit of trouble today becuase I keep listening to trance and I keep thinking, "the body highs would be incredible listening to this and being on DXM.".

Guess my mind loves eating mind bending things.

1 more thing, I'm not even sure why I'm doing this. I mean are drugs bad as long as you know what you are doing, and don't hurt your self are they moraly(sp?) bad?

I mean when I use mind bending drugs, I never use pot really, just shrooms and DXM, it isn't so that I can escape my problems, I don't even really have many problems. It is so that I can experience some silliness, wierdness, and whatever else comes my way through the drugs.

Am I saying this becuase right now at this moment I would love to take 700mg dxm and a few mg of psudeoephedrine? Maybe. Bleh I'm lost in my own world of logic and philisophical crap.

Anyway I suppose this thread is almost pointless, but it's still great to talk to you guys.

I wouldn't call it pointless, it's good to get encouragement from other people it definatly helps me to do something like quitting.

Stick with it and the desire to get fucked will fade away.
