First time grower in desperate need of help

Well I'm a n00b so bear with me.

I inoculated a few jars and after about 7 days it appeared to be covered in a white mycelin layer. So I transplanted them to the terrarium. They have been in the terrarium for about 5 days and I see no signs of pinning. The cakes have gotten MUCH whitter and the mold has really had its way with it. When should I expect to see pins? Did I jump the gun and birth the cakes too early, should I have let the substrant been molded over inside and out? If I birthed the cakes early will the cakes still pin? Please someone.... HELP@#@%#%

if they were 100% colonized in 7 days then you are the man cause that is very fast, it took me 59 days. If there is any mold at all then you should toss it out. Also i never birth until the jars have started pinning. To get them to pin just give them direct sunlight when they are 100% colonized and still in the jars. thats all i can help you with cause im still a newbie ive just been successfull a couple times.

What's done is done. To get those bastards pinning, case the fuckers. For information on casing Tek,see

Yeah, I was thinking about leaving a few jars until I see little red dots (pins). BTW, I got them to inoculate that fast by using a MUCH higher concintarion of spores per jar. I used a spore print that could make about 20 jars with and I injected it ALL into 12 jars. So needless to say they molded like fucken mad. Anyhow...hey would you like to exchange ideas?
