SPORES WONT GERMINATE...

the recipes for my cakes are.....2/3 cup of vermiculite...1/4 cup organic RYE FLOUR..and a quarter cup of water....its been 4 days and there is no growth...is it because of my formula i can make honey water easy.I am using Equador and Mexi Cub...if u have any answers or suggeations on how to get groth in my jars please help.....

the temp does change often but my jars are in individual ziploc baggies in a box in my closet and mexi cub is supposed to do good in a range of tempuratures down to the 60's...do u think the baggies are a problem????

It sometimes takes close to a week or more for spores to germinate. In your case I'd just be patient and wait it out, especially since your temps are getting down into the 60's. If you still don't have any signs of growth after a week or ten days, then you should consider starting over. There's lots of other factors that could be the reason for no growth yet, such as unsterile conditions when you inoculated the jars.

Maybe the less nutritious the substrate
is, the longer it takes the mycelia to
show up since it hasnt got as much food
or something. I dont know but ive heard
of jars stalling for more than a week and
than growing normally.

Your jars wont grow if they cant breathe,
just put them in a clean place (box, closet
shelf etc.) without the baggies.

i grew EQ's i think they took like 2 weeks to show sings of colonizing. and the whoel process took 59 days for 100% colonization. It was my first time and i made some mistakes but they still arnt the fastest colonizers.

What growing tek are you using? I'm using Shroom Wizard's (yeah, yeah, i know) and I aint seen shit. I think it's cause my spores were left too long before inoculation and died. Question for anyone: How could I tell if there are any contaminates in my jars? Does it actually have to look like mold? My jars look like they did when I made them.

my best is a pf classic print over one year old, made into syringe, re-innoculated one jar three times, and FINALLY growth three weeks after third innoc
