hi folks. the growtalk show on shroomery radio is currently under production. if anyone has good questions they'd like to have answered on the radio, please send them with or without your handle to: growtalk@shroomery.org
should air next friday. we hope to have an 800 number up and running soon so that we can do a live show with call-ins and live email answeres. show your shroomery support and send in those questions.

Very cool, whens the first show????
I assume it will be over the net(duh!!!!!)
Here in Vancouver we have a Coop radio station, and if you are a member you can have a show(the membership is cheap, and keeps the station corporate free)
Anyway, for years I have been planning on starting an Show, Science, Entheogens, a bit of music, and philosophy.
Maybe one day I could get premission(from the shroomery) to play a couple chunks of the show, or a whole episode, just think, people all over vancouver are flipping through the radio when they here...."and thats what will give you a nice fat flush in your bulk tub, this is shroomery radio and we will be right back"

I'm starting to grow and I'm wondering if I can use fluorescent lights, if I have to use any lites, and if they can put out sufficient heat,to much, or to little.

I heard a bit of shroomery radio the other night, but just caught the tunes that were playing, none of the grow info. I think this place has enormous potential and I hope to see it grow and prosper. I have a million questions myself and radio would be an ideal way to get some live help with them. When does the next shoe air?

Ok, I just bought 6 1/2 pint pre-sterilized jars and a Golden Teacher strain. I've never done the cake method...so, does anyone know my chances for contamination - this is, assuming i'm not growing in too bad of an environment, what are the chances I could lose all the jars?
Also, does anyone know what the golden teacher trip is like? I've read that it's comparable to acid.

im only asking cuz it makes a big diff cuz if you orderd it you should be fine but if you did it your self and your new at it then you always take a chance of it being or getting contaminated, its just a 50 - 50 thing sometimes and im no pro im improving on my growing as well.

yeah, I ordered it. I'm also planning on doing my own (I only ordered them because i'm currently without a pressure cooker). Well, my jars won't arrive for some time, and that's why I figure i'll buy a pressure cooker in the meantime and make my own jars. The only problem is, I can't find vermiculite (that is, I don't know who sells it - Ace? Home Depot? Something like that?) Also, what's better for substrate, brown rice or birdseed (millet based i'm guessing) ?
