man each to thier own opinion..thats like asking whats the fastest car..they all do the same job.conditions and temps water content alot of variables. if ya have a pc go for wbs cheap easy grows quick. even with spores

So would you recommend making jars of your quasi-compost recipe for use as spawn?

Compost in jars , dung etc inoced will turn into nasties faster than you can blink an eye . The anerobic enviro is home sweet home for all sorts of nasty smelling shit .
I've never heard your compost reffered to as "quasi" agar :blush:
