Air drying(need help fast)

I have done a search on this, but was unsuccessful. Can I take wet shrooms, and put them on a mesh screen, then set them outside to dry? I'm sure the air would dry them. Does this method work?? Thank's for the input. Glacius

That all depends on how much humidity there is in the air. The air has to be fairly dry or else the shrooms will just suck the moisture in. You should try hooking up a fan of some sort to air dry properly.

Putting them on a mesh screen is fine, though you're better off just sticking them under a fan until they're nice and crisp.

well u want to keep them out of sun and heat as these will both degrade the shrooms. the best way is simply a screen under ur bed, or in a drawer or something. they will lose like 80% moisture this way, and THEN u put them in a dessicant chamber which will literally leach all remaining moisture. whole process takes about 3 days and u end up with like >99% dry shrooms. when fully dry the stems will *snap* like crackers

Glacius, they must be cracker dry before you store them. Do they snap cleanly in half? If not, they can be finished in the oven. Preheat oven to 150 Fahreheit. Turn oven off. Lay your shrooms on a sheet of newspaper and put them in the oven. 1 hour later they should be dry.

I dont know how many computer techs are around here, but theres a packet of silica gel included with HDD's, I collect about two cups worth a week, so if your a tech it sure beats buying it (not that its very expensive, but hey why buy stuff if you dont have to?)
You approach the turnstiles and know that when you get there you have to give the man two dollars or he won't let you inside but when you get there everything goes wrong.
