LOL, no way! they are not the laziest people around. the trial division i worked at required each attorney to pick up at least 275-300 cases a year. that includes murder, rape and other cases guarenteed to go to trial. most of the attorneys worked 12 hour days. they aint gonna waste their time preparing for trial to help everyone arrested for possiession or petty theft. but theyre usually good at cutting halfway decent deals with DAs. money talks in the justice system, if you have any...dont use a PD (obviously) but dont rip them because theyre not johnny cochranes who will spend months preparing for your trial.
that's true, i just had a friend get fucked up because he had a pd that didn't do shit and this guy got 15 years for a half pound of nuggets and he had only been caught with a pipe once before! that pd was a cocksucker to the nth degree, too. didn't give 1 fuck about my buddy's life. he's still locked up. he has been for 3 years and has at least 2 more to go.

sorry to hear that, damn dude that sux. in retrospect not all PD's are so passionate at their work than others may be (like your friends shitty PD and i few i had to work with) A lot of them are, tho. its hard work sometimes. i have interviewed clients for hours who were coming in to my office HIGH AS FUCK and not talking any sense and really just wasting my time...lying over and over. most get pissed when you try to talk deal with them and they want you to go to trail. after a while some PDs prolly get tired of the shit, but they should just move on to some other type of law IMO.
but your friend getting 15 years (he'll prolly serve 1/3 of it) for 2 oz's is pretty sad.

Well, blissedout, let's just say that my record will by sealed in July, mmkay? The more I think about it, and the more people tell me, yes, I should've simply driven away. But, at the time, that was not an option. I just froze. I couldn't think, I couldn't move, I panicked, in other words.

Yeah, I actually have a friend who works for the DA. We used to trip together. Not no mo.
I agree totally with this statement. I got caught with alcohol this past summer and called up to ask what i could do to get the charges dropped. did about 15 hours of community service before my court date and came in lookin clean cut with nice pants and shirt. Everyone else was in jeans and t shirt. guess who got off their charges, me! everyone else got fucked. The judge even complimented me and praised me. it was cool.

Thats the way to make him feel better about it. I'm pretty sure you done some idiotic things in your life more than likely more than most since you like to call people out like that. Usually that means you are trying to make yourself feel better about some bad choices you have made in the past or present.

Hehehe, that fucken sucks. Of course this is a learning experiance. I was a math tutor for the better part of ten years until I finally got my Bachelor's Degree. During my tenure I managed to catch a fair number of students doing what they weren't suppost to be doing either in the parking lot or the bathrooms. Luckily for them I was on their side and not about to skrew their lives up. I would tell them to take their shit, put it away and never bring it to skewl again! And in every instance the perpetraitors where very, very grateful. Not only would I let them keep their shit, I wouldn't even turn them in. What fun is in getting suspended from skewl? You get to chill at home for X amount of days, that ain't punishment that is vacation. However, in my hometown of Long Beach, when you get suspended from skewl you have to go to a special location to serve your suspension days; which is a bummer.

All I can say is good luck, you MAY get lucky talking to the prosecuting attorney but I really don't think anything will happen with just a single charge, pretty cut and dry there. Basically you just gotta bite the bullet, I had a VERY unlucky streak recently, got busted in canada with various drugs...500$ fine (and banned from canoodia), then a few weeks after that in the US, I got charged with having a pot pipe, minor in possesion and an open container violation. That was another $350 right there, I had to hold off going to college for a while and got a 45-50 hour a week job at a kawasaki manufacturing plant to pay off my debts. The way some of us chose to live we just get unlucky sometimes..and it SUCKS, just gotta deal bro...
