DDD and compost
    #348030 - 06/24/01 04:43 PM (22 years, 9 months ago)

I have been posting pics for sometime now showing the success with my Dairy dung. I have had quite a few people express interest in obtainiing it, and would like to start distributing it. I have also come up with a compost that is every bit as good as the dung or better(pictures to come). I would like to start a poll and see if it is infact worth the time and effort to sell it here at the Shroomery. It will be in the range of $2.00-$2.50 a pound plus shipping. Shipping will vary depending on where you live. I know it is $7.55 ANYwhere in the continental US-Priority for 5lbs.. After 5 pounds it gets tricky. You can gotto the USPS.com and use 28704 as the sending from zipcode and figure your shipping cost.
ALL input is greatly appreciated.
Dioze1
P.S. Mods... I know this is sort of a poll thread but it belongs here, seeing how it is a VENDOR type issue. Please do not move from this forum...Thank You!!

I've seen the pics from this and it would definately be worth my money to buy it. You get results comparable to the DB kit, but at 2.50 a pound its an irresistable offer. I would definately be ordering some.

Tired of pimping yourself on the corner to afford spores? Well throw out that red dress and go to the FSR, for spores even you can afford.

I'd be in too Dioze! Ya gotta sell the stuff!

Would you be willing to ship it media mail for those of us who don't need it very fast but want cheaper shipping? That way 10 lbs only costs about $5.00 to ship. It's not like you have to worry about the poo breaking in media mail like you do with everything else.

I agree Karen. I have regularly bought 40 lb of worm castings from www.mushroompeople.com and only paid $15 shipping.

I would like to get about 10 lb of the compost I think it is, the stuff that doesnt stink. I want to try it as a casing layer. I have alot of neat stuff that it might be great with.

LOL. Actually the delay is my personal life at this time. I hope to offer some in a couple of weeks at an introductory price at around a dollar a pound+shipping. Here a few pics for you.

very nice!!!
have you figured out the cheapest way to ship yet? if so, how much would it be? i'm pretty sure that if you just buying the compost alone, 50 lbs of db comes to $75 worth of shipping!

by the way...does this compost you've created require any care, or is it like db in that you pretty much leave it alone until it's time to pick?
