Weilii
    #3505009 - 12/15/04 07:18 PM (11 years, 11 months ago)

I figure I better not bump the weilii thread, but I thought I would ask: is anyone finding them.. Last night I had a vivid dream of lots of weilii.. but how could it be!! I doubt there is ANYTHING out there with this cold weather we are getting... Last ones I found were late November or so...

Anyone know how long the temps have to be above 50 or so before we see fruits in the spring?

I think the season is done. We had such a hardcore freeze last night and tonight is going to be pretty fierce as well. It's also supposed to drop to 19 on Sunday. Meh!

They should be up in the spring when high temps are from 60-80. The spring season is breif though.

I have been finding a few here and there. they are very small and arent growing up, just sideways on the ground. I'm also still very curious about weilii in the woods. I have had very good success in my first few months hunting in bermuda, but have found none in pinestraw. Next year, I'm looking forward to getting some first hand knowledge of cubes. I also just want to say thanks to all ya'll for helping me discover this great hobby and to feel confident about finding and identifying mushrooms. happy shrooming~
