Air pump PSI relationship with rate of air displacement?
    #3504581 - 12/15/04 04:18 PM (19 years, 3 months ago)

Is there a simple way or even a relationship at all between the PSI force of air of an air pump and the L/M displacement rate?

First, what kind of air pump?

Diaphragm, piston, vein, bellows or what?

Second, please clarify what you mean by L/M displacement.

Long story short, do you think that this thing could be utilized as a device for air exchange? If so, how do I determine the air displacement rate.

I an only a humble student, far below most.

Those are downright NOISY & not meant to run 24/7.

A better choice would be one for a LARGE fish tank.

Any good air pump will have CFM rating on it, or on box it comes in.

PSI is how high of pressure it will pump.

CFM is how much it moves by volume.

I'm experimenting with powering a grow by a 12V battery with about 250 Ah. Is there a way to run something that plugs into a standard household outlet via a 12V battery?

Maybe one of these then?:

Or perhaps this one?:

That second one only moves .08 CFM, is that about 2L per minute or did I do my math wrong?

I use this thing called an 'outlet' to power my grow op.

I don't know if anyone has ever heard of these things, they can be quite handy.
