In the Indian tradition, the first 20 years one should learn how to live in the world, the next 20, how to live in his mind, the last 20 give others the knowledge he gained. Meaning the first part of life one learns of earthly things. Perhaps this is how it should be?

I know that through my childhood, especially the adolescent years I was faced with a constant spiritual crisis from the onset of Bipolar disorder. The rest of my life suffered, but I emersed myself in the philosophies and religions of the world to no great end, finding no hint of peace until recently, which I would credit to (biological) maturity.

lol, yeah my parents got some phone calls.  when i was younger and preaching to ignorant children about santa not existing kind of reminds me when i'm debating issues with republicans. correlation?
