There you finally said it. If you cannot follow it then you cannot measure it. And yes there are many of the countries of the world who won't take the plunge and practice what they preach.

Well we'll see. I'm willing to trust the countries, and will make my own judgements depending on how things unfold. My point is that America is the only country that has catagorically stated that they are not even going to attempt to meet the targets.

And you feel human's will be the cause of that? Very Naive.
I feel the jury is still out on this one, and it's far too great a risk to ignore until we either know one way or the other. Besides global warming, there are other issues as well such as the destruction of the Ozone layer.

I personally wouldn't want any country to do something that will be bad for that country...however you feel it's okay.
I believe that sacrifices need to be made for the greater good of the planet. Personally, I'd like people to do what they can to ensure Earth and Humanity is arround for as long as possible.

And i ask again..why don't them country's become a pioneer and see if the protocal works.....if it does so without destroying the infrastructure of that country then i would be for it.........
You mean like many countries are doing? Have you seen the plans for the wind farm power stations around the UK to replace a number of coal driven power stations? If properly managed, there needs to be no damage to a countries infrastructure. How about the huge rise in LPG fuel that is being introduced around the UK as a low polluting alternative to petrol ?

I'm getting the feeling that you are basing your statements from what you hear from the (EXTREMELY LIBERAL) media
If i don't base my opinions on things I hear from the media, then when am I supposed to base them on? You know that I live in the UK, and apart from forums such as this (Which are based on peoples personal opinions, and so can be even more biased than the media) the media is my only portal to information. I do however mostly watch the BBC, which has an extremely good reputation all over the world for unbiased and thorough reporting.

You have the right to free speech......but that doesn't mean i have to listen to you. i.e. you don't have the right to be heard
OK, you don't have to listen. However I would consider it rude if you didn't. I'm not saying that you should act upon what others are saying if you don't agree, but a refusal to acknoledge the opinions of others just appears arrogant.

i was referring to a later time because when i was in london i wanted to see the other side of the revolutionary war....
Which revolutionalry war are you referring to? Most countries have had one at some point. Which 'other side' did you want to see?

there are people who criticize those that want to think about all the consequences instead of putting a bandaid on a bullet wound
I believe that putting on the bandaid would be a good start if nothing else is available. At least it may slow the bleeding whilst looking for a better solution.

Chill? I couldn't be more calm. Since you don't know me you can look at my other posts in other forums and they are quite similar. I don't normally get personal and i don't believe i did with you...

OK, I apologise, I guess I read a bit more into some of your replies than you intented

Take care

Phil

LOL.You make it sound like Bush won the white house by a land slide.(Like he is unbeatable).Remember, he got over half a million votes less than Gore. It sounds to me like he is vulnerable. Also remember that historically, presidents that get to the white house without winning the popular vote do not get re-elected. Who will be able to beat him? Anyone that wins the heart of the American public. Bush failed to do this.Mckain would not win,but he could hurt Bush if he ran.Just like the Green party hurt the democratic party in this past election.

Taz, take McCarthy's dick out of your ear. Your strawman arguments are lame.

Clinton/Gore pandered to big business. They did just about everything in the name of free market - things Reagan and Bush only dreamed of. Gore aint no Communist (he's an idiot sure, but no socialist) - if he truly is a socialist, than how do you explain his million dollar investment in Occidental? How do you explain his and Clinton's Plan Colombia which is near 2 billion dollars sent to the Colombian government in order to fight the Marxist guerillas and protect the coffee and oil industry from being nationalized?!? How do you explain his support of the WTO, NAFTA, FTAA, World Bank, International Monetary Fund, etc.?!? No socialist would ever take part in such big business schemes?

Sure, the Clintonoids (especially Gore & his wife) were all about protecting so-called family values - BUT THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH SOCIALISM! That's just they're own closed-minded, "save the children! Let's make everyone listen to Fleetwood Mac!" attitudes.

****The poll of 1,005 adults taken June 14-18, shortly after Bush's first visit to Europe since taking office****

HMMM 1005 people out of a possible 275,000,000 americans....oh that sounds acurate. Where was the poll taken, what demographic, ages ans knowledge of politics? The funny thing is that i haven't run into too many people that say this...therefore my polls would be as acurate.

as it is a reuters poll, im sure it was a nationwide telephone survey of registered voters. besides, you then contradict yourself by using the same kind of figures with probably the same amount of people surveyed. as for the lack of your friends saying this, people who think alike often associate, so they are probably thinking the same thing as you. as for me, i hear this all day from my buddies and in my working class area. not to mention probably 90% of shroomerites feel the way the majority of this forum feels, he is an illegitimate president.

my opinion is basically every thing opposite of what taz posts. anyone who thinks bush is smart enough to run a nation has serious problems. the republicans i meet are either very rich or very very stupid- (taz) anyone who thinks that gore is communist and we need to restore that "good ole' american spirit!" by electing bush is daft. i mean really- how fucking stupid can you be?

lallafa's opinion show just how much of an idiot he really is. When did I say Bush made a good president? I never even mentioned Bush are the republicans. You, Lallafa, are such a stupid retard U can't seem to be able to read and understand what someone posts. U are the typical liberal dumbass who thinks that tearing down the nation is for the good of all. But if America ever does turn communist, then Lallafa will be the first one they shoot. They don't put up with such retards as yourself. God your a fuking idiot. I always thought that maybe U where just stupid from doing to many drugs, but now I'm convienced that you can't help that you where born such a loser and braindead..

****You make it sound like Bush won the white house by a land slide****

Who said that?? I just don't think there is a democrate NOW that could beat him. For the record i would of voted for harry browne if he had a chance in hell to win. Dashelle(sp) McKain, and Gepheart(sp) doesn't stand a chance...but hey mybe the liberal savior Gray Davis will run.

****Remember, he got over half a million votes less than Gore****

There was also 2 million votes not counted so that stat is useless. But i believe this is splitting hairs because the winner has won.

****Also remember that historically, presidents that get to the white house without winning the popular vote do not get re-elected****

If i remember right it only happened once before. And thet stat is as usefull as the detroit lions never do good on the 2nd week of december when the wind is blowing from the east.

****Who will be able to beat him? Anyone that wins the heart of the American public****

And WHO would that be?...noone that i've seen in the liberal party..John Carry perhaps..ha ha ha good luck... Instead of trying to win the HEART of the country, why don't they try to win the minds of the country....or are they too ignorant?...the supporters i mean.

****Bush failed to do this.Mckain would not win,but he could hurt Bush if he ran.Just like the Green party hurt the democratic party in this past election.****

Mckain would get the Moderates (liberals) not the conservatives and libertarians. the only thing the media is not reporting is Mckain has lost almost all of his support from the conservative end and is gaining support from the liberals..he would hurt the democrates more than the conservatives....I say bring him on.

Talk about being bitter..sheesh.. Get over it people the sun will rise tommarow and it will be ok.

If he's illegitamate does that then make the liberal majority in the Senate illegitamate? I can care less if he's considered illigitamate because when the smoke clears he's still YOUR president...ha ha ha..and that has to kill you..too badd..ha ha
