Can you grow shrooms outside? With regular spores.

We;; you can grow spawn indoors and move it to an outdoor bed, but not all species will this work well with.

randomly spreading spores on the ground or on poo for that matter isn't going to get you any where but short of spores. Just colonise a bunch of jars inside then when they are 100% mix them into some dung based compost and you will have mushrooms in about a month. One of the easiest ways to grow mushrooms.
Tired of pimping yourself on the corner to afford spores? Well throw out that red dress and go to the FSR, for spores even you can afford.

Thats good advice and I'll mention that shrooms given the opportunity to grow outdoors are usually way bigger. Fun with dung produces huge shrooms!

Why not try innoculating the dung with a spore syringe and then let us know of the results?

Thats how I do it. I'll dig a small area of soil out and replace it with compost or just mix dung into the soil and put it back. Then I mix in colonised spawn. You can use anywhere from 1 1/2pint cake to a full spawn bag. I would say use 2 or 3 cakes. Make sure it stays moist, not saturated, and isn't in direct sunlight and you will see little shroomies in a month or so. I have a patch right now that just put of 5 mushrooms, caps the size of my palm, and it has about 15 more immature mushrooms growing as I type. (I don't get even flushes, but I get alot of them.)

I tried to innoculate dung w/ a spore syringe... nothing has happened yet.. It probably takes a long time [ a few months at least ] to colonize.. if it even does... I'll try breaking it open in a little bit if nothing happens [ about 3 weeks old now ]
