Going to try for Psilocybe subaeruginoa
    #349198 - 06/26/01 07:35 AM (22 years, 3 months ago)

On the weekend (if it rains) I'm going to try and find Psilocybe subaeruginoa. Psilocybe cubensis are going out of season, and I think it's the right season for Psilocybe subaeruginoa right now, correct me if I'm wrong. Wish me luck, I'll have some good photos next week if I find any. BTW, can anyone give me any tips?

Good luck! I have found heaps of subs in surprisingly dry areas this year - along riverbeds in mulch, but my main tip that i can think of is to check all mulchy wet areas, especially under trees that are damp and have little sunlight - they are nearly always gregarious... we have heaps of Eucalyptus/Cyanescens growing in really wet fernery areas that have no direct sunlight, so try those... The best places are botanical gardens and the like... Ive got sub prints here if you want one??

Sweet. They're prettier than cubes. Can you PM me with some hunting tips, bluemeanie? It rained today for the first time in weeks, so this weekend might be OK afterall, especially if it rains again tonight or tommorrow. Did you know there's a pro wrestler called "The Blue Meanie"? I wonder if he's a tripper or it's just co-incidence. He has blue hair....hmmm....I think my nightly toke just took effect...anyway it would be good if you could PM me some tips. Where do you live? I'm in Newcastle, is that too far south? Nice photos.

Here's bluemeanie's photograph:

They look pretty mad, I hope I find some.

Hi Blue Meanie,

I guess I should mention to you that Blue meanies are a nickname for Copelandia cyanescens because they are very thin small mushrooms and are extrememly potent and have nothing to do with PSilocybe subaeruginosa.

By the way that is a great picture.

Have a shroomy day.
