WHat makes for a GOOD season?
    #3491014 - 12/13/04 12:20 PM (19 years, 3 months ago)

I have been in PNW for six years and only half those years have been really good for mushroom hunting. This year we have had abundant rains and warm temperatures, but no huge, busting out clusters of mushroomz. It has only frozen a few times. Usually I see a few Azurescens and Cyanesecns by now. ????? Peace.

No huge clusters of cyans or azures yet in the PNW? Hm.. I've seen clusters of the aforementioned mushrooms for 2 and half months now. Some patches go on for 30 yards without breaks. Where have you been?

I'm on Whidbey Island. There are almost no shrooms coming up. Peace.

Where have you been? I have checked all the parks and foresty areas around and there are mostly just a few toadstools around.

That's right, ask anyone who hunts in Seattle and they will tell you that there have been gigantic Cyan patches around the city for months.

I usually only catch a clump of Cyans and a few Azurescens. I generally make big finds of Pelliculosa, however. I use the library computer. I wish someone would post a pic of Pellic with its beautiful orange spot in patch formation.
